Fall doesn’t show up in Phoenix the way it does everywhere else. Nobody is raking leaves, and nobody is digging a winter coat out of the closet. Still, the temperatures are cooling off, the snowbirds are rolling back in, and we’re heading into the best time of the year to live in Arizona. The signs are all there if you know what to look for, so we counted down our top 10.
10. You can finally open the windows. You wake up in the morning, crack the windows, and let some fresh air into the house without the whole place turning into an oven.
9. Everybody wants to be outside again. Restaurant patios are packed, the hiking trails are busy, and people are out walking, biking, and playing golf. After another summer spent hiding in the air conditioning, we’re all ready to get out there.
8. The pool isn’t quite as popular. Unless you’ve got a heated pool, the swimming season is winding down. Even in November, a few people are probably still jumping in, but you can count us out.
7. Pumpkin spice is everywhere. Coffee, candles, desserts, and about 37 other things that probably didn’t need pumpkin spice. It’s here, and you can’t avoid it.
6. Sweaters come out at 79 degrees. That’s one of us. Meanwhile, all the visitors from the Midwest are walking around in shorts and T-shirts.
5. Holiday decorations go up early. The Halloween decorations are barely put away before Thanksgiving, and Christmas decorations start popping up in everyone’s neighborhood. Only in Phoenix can you put up your holiday decorations in shorts and flip-flops, so people go all out.
4. The snowbirds are coming back. You’re seeing a lot more out-of-state license plates on the roads, and suddenly there’s a little more traffic. We love having everybody here for the winter.
3. The social calendar fills back up. Concerts, festivals, sporting events, even the farmers’ markets. Something is going on almost every weekend.
2. You remember why you live here. Beautiful mornings, incredible sunsets, outdoor dining, hiking, golf, and finally enjoying the outdoors again. After surviving another Phoenix summer, this is what we’ve all been waiting for.
1. Our annual pie giveaway is back. This is one of our favorite traditions, and our way of saying thank you to the past clients and friends who continue to support us year after year. If you’re a past client, keep an eye on your email. You’ll be able to RSVP for your choice of an apple or pumpkin pie, and we’ll have three convenient pickup locations around the Valley. We love seeing everybody every year, catching up, and sending you home with a little something for Thanksgiving.
Check your inbox, RSVP for your pie, and come see us. All of us at Arizona Home Group hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving season. If you have questions about pie pickup, or about buying or selling a home anywhere in the Valley, call or text us at (602) 571-3730, email john@arizonahomegroup.com, or visit ahgnationasks.com. We can’t wait to see you.
